Sound Chamber SC-1

SC-1
[ View Details ]
Delivers undistorted midrange and bass by absorbing the speakers back-wave! Minimize sound transmitted to adjacent rooms!
Loudspeaker design, basic rule:
In-wall speaker cavities must be able to absorb the speakers back-wave. Otherwise, sound will reflect back towards the speaker cone, causing it to become distorted, blurred and bass shy. In addition, by absorbing sound in the walls, less noise is transmitted to adjacent rooms!
The Sound Chamber solution…
Sound Chamber is a custom formulated acoustical foam designed and shaped for all 5", 6" and 8" in-wall or ceiling speakers. Its "open cell" design provides maximum absorbency. The "V" shaped grooves (patent pending) allow low frequencies (below 100Hz) to escape, utilizing the entire wall for producing deep bass. The "V" grooves and sidewalls are thick enough that they will support the Sound Chamber in place (2x4 studwalls) with no additional hardware. Each Sound Chamber is divided into four modules, so it will fit through the speaker cutout. In addition, Sound Chamber is fire resistant and an excellent insulator.

Dare to Compare!
The sound quality difference is astonishing when comparing (in-wall/ceiling) speakers with and without Sound Chambers.
How they work...
Sound Chambers are designed from advanced open-cell foam that absorbs sound waves emitted from the rear of your speakers. Without them, sound will reflect back at the speaker cone(s), causing extreme distortion. An additional benefit of the SC-2 is rear sound waves are minimized from traveling to adjacent rooms. Further benefits include the addition of insulation between the speaker and exterior elements.
How they install…
Sound Chambers are designed for placement (pressure fit) behind your in-wall speakers or (lay) above your in-ceiling speakers. Please note the ends of Sound Chambers are intentionally open, so extreme low frequencies are not blocked from exiting the SC-2.
Sound Chamber Dimensions: 7.25" x 12" x 4" x four per speaker, eight per pair15” H x 14.5”W x 4”D per piece, each carton contains (one pair) two
Sound Absorption Values: 1.85 NRC/AVG
Fire Safety: Meets or exceeds Cal 117
"R" Value: Minimum 13 Rating
